DHEP Program closing

We regret to announce that Jamie Moorehead and I are closing the DHEP program.  We sincerely thank each and every family who has supported us from the time we were at Misty Forest up until now.

Jamie opened Super Awesome Cool Pottery in June of this year and has been super busy with a huge Groupon following and after school programs.   My Wellness Coaching and Plant Based Nutrition Educator practice has picked up recently and I now feel like I can put extra time into marketing instead of curriculum development :)

Since we have this site I will continue to use the blog for the purpose of posting Homeschool events around the area.

Thursday Session II Classes are cancelled

Thursday classes have been cancelled this session due to low attendance numbers.  We must have a minimum of 8 students enrolled on Thursdays at the full session rate to begin any session.  Please contact Gretchen at gretchen_goel@yahoo.com if you are interested in signing up for the 2012 session.  We will use the same curriculum as Fall Session II.

Fall Session I coming to an End

We've had a great group of kids this session!  These are photos from our Thursday group of kids.  This session they've enjoyed Pop Up Book Art, Impromptu Theater Games, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (Reading and Activities about Chocolate), and Letter Writing. 

They've also enjoyed playing outside.  One of the things we love about our space at the First Unitarian Church is that we have a great outside space that includes a garden area, an open field, a basketball coourt, wooded areas and a labrynith. 

And best of all is the friendships that have been made.  We look forward to next session with new classes and some new faces :)
